Integrated Therapeutic Counselling
As you know, my name is Alun, but let me tell you a bit more about myself as a counsellor and my approach.
I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Integrated Therapeutic Counselling. As a Senior Member of Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists, and Hypnotherapists (SMACCPH), I bring a wealth of experience and diverse approaches to our sessions. While I primarily work with men, I am dedicated to supporting both male and female clients on their journey to better mental health.
Our Journey Together
I believe that everyone needs support now and then to help them work through or cope with life’s challenges. Sometimes more support is needed than at other times, and it's absolutely OK and not a sign of weakness to seek it. There is great strength and courage in vulnerability. We all struggle with things from time to time and I aim to help you deal with these challenges so you can be more confident in yourself and have a happy and enjoyable life.
I help people from a wide range of backgrounds as anxiety, stress, fear, doubt, sex and sexuality issues can come up for everyone from time to time. I believe we are all strong, capable, and creative beings even though it may not feel like that at times. The main areas I work with include:

- setting goals and aims
Beyond Our Sessions
Healing and change can also extend beyond our sessions. There may be times when activities and “homework” are suggested for you to practise between meetings, ensuring you get the most out of our time together. This continued practice is crucial in solidifying the techniques and skills we discuss.

I am here to support and empower you without judgement, helping you relax, enjoy life more, and feel more confident, capable, and resilient. I respect you and where you're at, and I like my sessions to be as relaxed and gentle as they can be, so that you have space to feel safe, listened to, and supported.
Tailored to Your Needs
Everyone’s journey is unique. We will explore possibilities together, guiding you towards the life you envision. I will ask questions, challenge assumptions, and give you the space to make your own choices and set your priorities. I'll encourage you to try new things and strive to make this process as light and easy as possible.
Initial Pre-Chat
Before we start, I offer a free 15-minute pre-session chat. This is a chance for us to meet, discuss what's going on for you, and see if my counselling approach is a good fit for your needs. It's important that we both feel confident in our partnership as we embark on this healing journey.
Flexible Therapy Options
Although I prefer face-to-face sessions, we can also work together via video conferencing (Zoom) or over the telephone. This flexibility means distance is not a barrier, and you can attend sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Session Length and Duration
Each session lasts 50 minutes. Depending on your needs, we’ll typically start with at least three sessions, though many clients find value in continuing for 3 to 12 sessions, or more if needed. Everyone is different, and so are their needs. We’ll aim to meet weekly at a consistent time and day that suits you.

I currently charge £45 for a 50-minute counselling session. To make therapy more accessible, I offer package deals:
1 x 50-minute session: £45
3 x 50-minute sessions: £120
6 x 50-minute sessions: £230
